Peninsula Endodontics

Soft arches, sculptural plaster art, and sage glass-walled operatories make an endodontic practice feel more like a spa than a specialist's office.

The setting

A Rolling Hills Estates suite on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Daylight comes in through window walls at the ends of the corridors, and glass-walled operatories keep the whole floor feeling open.

The concept

Calm for the specialty patients worry about most. Arches appear everywhere, from beige wall shapes behind the waiting banquette to an arched sage niche at the handwashing station, softening every edge. Sculptural plaster wall art and a warm terrazzo restroom add texture, while the clinical rooms stay bright and glass-walled.

Materials & palette

Pale wood-look floors, white walls, and soft sage green on cabinetry, accent walls, and frosted glass. The reception desk pairs a sage-gray front with a terrazzo top beneath a backlit round logo. Black-framed glass doors enclose the operatories; the restroom wraps warm terrazzo and honey-toned tile around an oval rattan-framed mirror and globe sconces, and the sterilization room uses sage cabinetry with brass pulls.

The experience

Patients wait on a long upholstered banquette under pendant lights, beside an olive tree and arched wall shapes, instead of in rows of chairs. Across from reception, sculptural plaster art sets a quiet tone. The operatories, built around surgical microscopes, sit behind glass with sage accents, so even the clinical side feels light and open.
