Nickerson Design was founded in 2014 by sisters Natalie Hickman and Kimberly Reddick. That family story isn't marketing — it's the reason our work understands both the clinical reality and the human one.
From the operatory to the drafting table.
We grew up around dentistry and design — two worlds that rarely speak the same language. One is precise, clinical, and unforgiving of a misplaced wall. The other is about warmth, light, and how a room makes you feel.
Most practice owners have to bridge those two worlds alone, usually for the first time, while running a business. We started Nickerson Design in 2014 to be that bridge — a firm that speaks fluent clinic and fluent calm.
Today we focus on what we do best: warm, brand-aligned interiors for dental and medical practices, and the commercial spaces around them, across Southern California.

Our monogram is built the way we build interiors: two true verticals, and a diagonal that stops just short of each one. Carpenters call that gap a shadow-gap reveal — the finish detail that separates a well-built space from a merely finished one.

Natalie leads Nickerson Design's healthcare interiors practice, translating the way a team actually moves through a space into calm, brand-aligned environments. She grew up around dentistry and design — the two threads that became the firm.
Kimberly Reddick
Co-Founder & Principal Designer
Kimberly guides clients from first sketch to final walkthrough, keeping every decision tied to budget, timeline, and the patient experience. Her focus is making a build feel organized and unhurried for owners who have a practice to run.
